Errol Morris sculpts with joy, spirituality, vitality and purpose, striving to bring his creativity to as wide audience as possible. This quality can be seen in his public commissions.
E-lights is Errol’s environmental art project, using thrown away materials to highlight the importance of recycling. Lamps made from computer parts, and other media, turning into sculptural pieces; powered at only 12 volt and using the latest in LED lighting.
Errol Morris reliefs are generous in ideas, yet economical in their execution. Errol sings with the grain of the wood, in a language understood by us all.
Exposure to art and creativity helps to broaden the mind and the ability of youths in particular. Part of my commitments is to work within the educational sector with particular reference to environmental issues and cultural awareness.
Errol’s paintings reflect his humour and lively spirit. Playfull in style and rich in texture his pieces analyse the dreams of life and dilemmas of post modern society.
The quality of Errol Morris as a scultpor is his understanding of the natural rhythm of wood. His gift to redirect the destiny of the wood can be seen to achieve spiritual glorification, exposing human nature’s inner depths.
Errol carves instinctively, sometimes changing course as the piece begins to dictate its final outcome.
